Corey believes that a leader takes people where they want to go, but a great leader takes people where they don't necessarily want to go — but ought to be.
As Vice President, Operations, he oversees food and beverage experiences across multiple properties in our portfolio. Corey develops and launches restaurant concepts; hires, develops and retains talent; collaborates and strategizes cross-functionally to scale growth and create value; and creates and implements systems and standards that drive results.
He's channeled his passion for restaurants into a decades-long career that spans every level of service, including catering, food and beverage, customer service, wine and sales. Before joining us, he was the Director of Operations for Water Grill and Chief Operating Officer of Upward Projects, a restaurant group that focuses on concepts in historical buildings. He also spent over 17 years at Elephant Bar Restaurant, where he rose from Regional Manger to Regional Vice President to Vice President of Operations.
Corey has a Bachelor’s in Political Science from California State University, Northridge and is currently a member of the California Restaurant Association. He loves to travel and hopes to take a road trip across Italy someday.
