A bartender at heart, John’s passion for hospitality and keen interest in the arts and sciences drive him to create experiences where guests feel welcome, cared for, and safe. After spending years honing his skills behind the bar, he began to pursue beverage management roles with increasing responsibilities that spanned floor and general management, creative concepting, banquets, off-site events, team building, financial performance and beyond.

John joined Sage Restaurant Concepts in 2021 as our Director of Beverage, where he leads bar training and education, menu development, openings and transitions and operational support for our full portfolio of independent restaurant and bar concepts. He specializes in craft cocktails and bar education and has an extensive knowledge of spirits and food and beverage operations.

John is based in Nashville, though he still roots for the New York Jets.
