Driven by a love for human connection and meaningful experiences, Kim is a lifelong hotelier who leads with kindness and a sense of humor. As Vice President, Sage Independent Hotel Collection, Kim is responsible for the strategic operational oversight of a group of fully independent hotels within our portfolio. She also lends her creativity and independent operational experience to our Curator Hotel & Resort Collection partnership and oversees the transition of new properties into the Sage Hotel Management portfolio.
Kim worked in the field for us for many years before transitioning into a role at the Home Office, including serving as General Manager of Halcyon, a hotel in Cherry Creek, The Blackstone Hotel in Chicago, and The Curtis in Denver. She held additional roles outside of Sage at the Conrad Chicago, which relaunched as The Gwen, as well as leadership positions at Merv Griffin’s Casino Hotel and Bally’s Grand Casino Hotel.
Kim graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration and also received her Certified Hotel Administrator degree from the Educational Institute. She was recognized by the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association as the 2014 Hotelier of the Year for the Greater Chicagoland Area.
