
Matty believes the guest experience lives in the details; the small, often unremarkable moments that accumulate into something worth coming back for. His passion is to find those moments, work alongside teams to refine them, and build a culture where both associates and guests feel genuinely cared for.
In his role with Sage Restaurant Concepts, Matty partners with operators across the portfolio to strengthen service and hospitality culture and sharpen financial performance. He's hands-on by nature and known for drawing out the best in the teams around him through coaching, collaboration, and high standards across every aspect of the operation.
He spent over eleven years with The Kitchen Restaurant Group, where he grew from server to General Manager to Beverage Director to Area Director, supporting their organization across multiple states and concepts. That trajectory shaped a style of leadership that's equal parts hospitality philosophy and operational rigor.
Matty is an Advanced Sommelier Candidate through the Court of Master Sommeliers, with deep expertise across wine, spirits, beer, and cocktails, and a strong instinct for when technical knowledge should step aside and let genuine kindness lead the way.
Outside of work, Matty enjoys gathering with family and friends over great food and wine, exploring new cities through their culinary scenes, and continuing to grow as a home cook and musician.
