Neil Colclough brings a people-first approach to risk, grounded in the belief that strong relationships and clear communication are at the heart of doing the job well. Known for his “internal client” mindset, he prioritizes understanding the people and teams he supports, creating an environment of trust where honest conversations, even the difficult ones, can happen.

As Vice President of Risk, Compliance, and Audit, Neil leads Sage’s efforts to protect and strengthen the business while partnering across the organization to navigate complexity and drive performance. His perspective is shaped by years of operational experience, allowing him to approach challenges with both empathy and practicality.

Neil’s path into hospitality was anything but traditional. After serving with H.M. Royal Marines Commandos, he moved to the United States and joined the security team at Vail Mountain. What started as chance quickly became a career, leading him into risk management roles with Vail Resorts and later Inspirato before joining Sage in 2025.

Outside of work, Neil is passionate about environmental and social causes and values time with his family above all else, especially time with his teenage son and daughter.
