Thelma Rockhold

Deeply inspired by Stephen Covey's philosophy that an organization should treat its employees the way it wants them to treat its best customers, Thelma spearheads our People & Culture teams across our diverse portfolio and Home Office, blending her wealth of business expertise with a nurturing approach honed over many years.

As the Chief People Officer at Sage Hospitality Group, Thelma is instrumental in driving alignment and championing the adoption of organizational systems. Her leadership encompasses talent acquisition, organizational development, employer branding, total rewards, and HRIS teams, implementing top-notch initiatives that cultivate a values-driven work environment.

Thelma has enthusiastically championed the creation of a belonging culture at Sage, where our vibrant and engaged associates thrive. As a cultivator of culture, she orchestrates a seamless fusion of experience and innovation, fostering inclusivity in our workplace. Her efforts have led Sage to be recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity for 2024 by Newsweek. Throughout her extensive career, Thelma has collaborated globally, infusing the human touch into various mergers and acquisitions, reshaping organizational landscapes and crafting a compelling global employer brand.

A wanderer at heart, Thelma calls Denver home but finds solace and joy in spending time anywhere near the Mediterranean Sea.
