This collaboration brings three standout lifestyle properties into our portfolio: Hotel La Jolla in San Diego, The Coachman Hotel in Lake Tahoe, and Circa 39 Hotel in Miami Beach. Each hotel deepens our presence in key leisure markets across California and Florida and reinforces our commitment to creating places people go to, not through.
CL Hotels, an experienced hotel ownership and investment group, selected Sage based on our proven track record operating distinctive properties in both urban and resort destinations.

Hotel La Jolla, A Curio Collection Hotel, is a 110-room coastal retreat originally opened in 1972 and reimagined in 2024. Following a multi-million-dollar renovation, the hotel features elevated guest rooms, expansive event spaces, and two destination-worthy dining concepts: Sea & Sky, a rooftop restaurant offering ocean-inspired cuisine, and Hiatus Lounge, an open-air bar for relaxed gatherings. Guests enjoy sweeping views of the Pacific, access to La Jolla’s vibrant attractions, and thoughtful amenities like beach cruiser rentals and bespoke bath products.
The Coachman Hotel, a 104-room boutique property in South Lake Tahoe, blends modern design with mountain-town charm. Ideal for both adventure seekers and laid-back travelers, The Coachman offers community-focused spaces like a heated outdoor pool, fire pits, and a café-bar serving local coffee, craft beer, and signature cocktails. Its pet-friendly atmosphere and unbeatable proximity to Lake Tahoe and Heavenly Mountain Resort make it a true year-round escape.
Circa 39 Hotel is a vibrant, 97-room hotel in the heart of Miami Beach. Known for its tropical spirit and eclectic design, the property offers lush courtyards, a pool, and full beach service in an intimate setting that contrasts with larger resorts. CL Hotels has plans for a multimillion-dollar renovation and rebranding that will position Circa 39 as part of the Vignette Collection by IHG—bringing even more distinction to this already beloved space.

We’ll oversee day-to-day operations at all three hotels, with support from Sage Restaurant Concepts leading the food and beverage programs at Hotel La Jolla and The Coachman.
