In honor of Celebrate Colorado Week, Daniel del Olmo, president of Sage Hospitality Group, took Governor Jared Polis on a tour of LoDo, which included a visit to the newly renovated Denver Union Station. Sage Hospitality Group has established a significant presence in LoDo with notable properties such as The Crawford Hotel, McGregor Square, The Oxford Hotel, The Rally Hotel and at the center of it all, Denver Union Station. During the tour, Governor Polis and Daniel discussed investments in LoDo, focusing on areas that not only benefit the public but also allow businesses to thrive.

“Improvements to Union Station and 16th Street Mall are examples of how investing in walkability and gathering spaces can drive economic growth. I am excited to see how these improvements will support small businesses and create new jobs. In Colorado, we are continuing to prove that investing in our downtowns is good for people and business,” said Governor Polis.

A part of the Sage portfolio, Denver Union Station is a historic landmark, and a vibrant hub located in the heart of Denver. Originally opened in 1881, Denver Union Station is widely recognized as the heart of the Mile High City with more than 10,000 people passing through each day and 70+ trains running daily. Denver Union Station completed an $11+ million refresh in July 2024 that included a remodel of The Crawford Hotel and a redesign of the Great Hall and The Cooper Lounge.
