Jody Blackinton

Jody Blackinton leads with a belief that how you show up matters. She is known for being direct, accountable, and transparent, creating clarity for teams and building trust across every level of the organization.

As Vice President of Operations at Sage, Jody works closely with teams across the portfolio to strengthen performance and create consistency in how properties operate day to day. She focuses on building strong teams, aligning expectations, and making sure both the business and the guest experience are moving in the right direction. Her leadership style is grounded and hands-on, balancing clear expectations with a deep commitment to supporting her people.

Jody brings decades of hospitality experience across both branded and independent hotels. She has spent much of her career leading multi-property operations along the West Coast, most recently as Regional Vice President of Operations, where she guided teams through growth, change, and the day-to-day realities of running complex portfolios.

Her path into hospitality started early. During trips to Las Vegas with her family, she became fascinated by the energy and possibility of the industry and set her sights on attending UNLV. While in school, she worked at the front desk and watched the city evolve around her, an experience that shaped her long-term commitment to hospitality.

She is especially passionate about mentoring the next generation of leaders and takes pride in helping individuals step into their first general manager role. For Jody, success is not just about performance, it is about creating opportunities for others to grow.

Outside of work, she spends time with her family, enjoys being at the barn with her horses, and embraces the sunshine of Southern California, which she has called home for more than twenty-seven years.
