Thelma Rockhold

Deeply inspired by Stephen Covey's philosophy that an organization should treat its employees the way it wants them to treat its best customers, Thelma spearheads our People & Culture teams across our diverse portfolio and Home Office, blending her wealth of business expertise with a nurturing approach honed over many years.

As the Chief People Officer at Sage Hospitality Group, Thelma is instrumental in driving alignment and championing the adoption of organizational systems. Her leadership encompasses talent acquisition, organizational development, employer branding, total rewards, and HRIS teams, implementing top-notch initiatives that cultivate a values-driven work environment.

Thelma has enthusiastically championed a culture of belonging at Sage, where associates feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. As a cultivator of culture, she brings together experience and innovation to foster inclusivity across the workplace. Her leadership has helped earn Sage multiple national recognitions from Newsweek that reflect the strength of our people-first culture. Throughout her extensive career, Thelma has worked across global organizations to infuse a human touch into mergers, acquisitions, and transformations—reshaping workplaces and building an employer brand that resonates around the world.

A wanderer at heart, Thelma calls Denver home but finds solace and joy in spending time anywhere near the Mediterranean Sea.
