The Nines, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Portland

One of our early pride-and-joys, The Nines Portland is an adaptive reuse project that turned the historic Meier & Frank Building into a magnificent luxury hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon. Sage developed the hotel and brand, focusing on honoring its rich history while bringing it forward with modern, eclectic design and branding. We sold it to its current owners in 2014, and it carries forward as a gem in Portland’s downtown, housing two of the city’s top restaurants, Urban Farmer and Departure. Situated in the midst of museums, the Japanese Gardens, and a vibrant retail district, The Nines remains a standard bearer for Sage.
