Denver's newest independent lifestyle hotel, The Rally Hotel, officially opened to the public today. As part of the highly anticipated McGregor Square development in the heart of Denver's vibrant LoDo neighborhood, The Rally is set to become the Mile High City’s most exciting getaway.
The hotel’s location next door to Coors Field isn’t The Rally’s only geographic advantage. It’s also part of the new McGregor Square development, which features restaurants, shops and a circular plaza with a 110-foot LED screen that will show live sporting games and other entertainment. The Rally’s guests will be right in the heart of one of Denver’s most exciting scenes. The property takes its name from an age-old baseball superstition – the rally cap – in which fans wear their caps backwards or inside out as a talisman for their team to pull off a come-from-behind victory.
“With its location in the heart of Denver, The Rally Hotel is meant to be a community gathering place for guests and locals alike,” said Dick Monfort, a partner in the development team of McGregor Square. “From the stunning rooftop views on the skybridge rooftop and pool deck, down to the multitude of restaurants spilling out into McGregor Square, our hotel is uniquely situated to be a destination for year-round excitement and fun.”
Managed by Denver-based Sage Hospitality Group, The Rally lives up to the ethos of the company in their dedication to giving back in every community in which they live, work and play. After a challenging year facing the pandemic, The Rally wanted to honor the locals who spent the last year giving all they had (and more) to help those in need: the hotel invited Denver residents to nominate a “Healthcare Hero” via Instagram to be among the first to enjoy a stay at The Rally.
“We couldn’t think of a better way to kick off The Rally’s journey than to welcome Denver’s Healthcare Heroes,” said Tiffany Owen, General Manager. “A hotel is only as good as the community it’s a part of, and we’re proud to share The Rally with these amazing Mile High City residents.”
Mile High Style
Designed by leading design firm ICRAVE, the interior spaces of The Rally’s lobbies, lounges, ballrooms, guest rooms and suites celebrate the majesty of Colorado living, from the excitement of Rockies baseball to the state’s inspiring mountain landscapes. The guest rooms are thoughtfully designed to maximize comfort and evoke the feeling of approachable luxury, with curated Colorado-inspired mini bars, plush furnishings and classic textures that bring familiar elements of “America’s pastime” to life through material and pattern.
The eighth floor – sitting at exactly 5,280 feet above sea level – will be known as The Mile High Floor. As a nod to the mile-high row of purple seats at neighboring Coors Field, this floor will feature a collection of unique rooms with an elevated, dramatic design featuring dark woods and deep purples that reflect the “Purple Mountain Majesties” of the Rocky Mountains that inspired the team colors. The Rally will have six penthouse residential suites featuring kitchens, residential-sized bathrooms and living areas, private balconies, and direct access to the skybridge rooftop and chic plunge pool.
The extensive art collection throughout the hotel, curated by Denver's NINE dot ARTS, was inspired by the energy, excitement and history of the LoDo neighborhood. Art that speaks to the moments in history that have forged LoDo into one of Denver's most famous areas will be featured throughout the hotel, both in public spaces and guest rooms.
A Culinary Destination
Guests will enjoy three distinct food and beverage concepts at The Rally:
The Original reinvents the neighborhood eatery, combining timeless inspiration from classic Americana with inventive and playful modern flair. The menu, with influences ranging from the 1950s diner to elegant railway dining cars, features familiar, elevated comforts including a variety of gourmet sandwiches, soups and all-day breakfast options alongside enticing entrées such as a prime rib dinner, short rib stroganoff and other thoughtfully sourced proteins. Unique and crave-able curiosities include the signature Croughnut Slider Burger, a quirky collection of boozy milkshakes and a pie case offering a rotating selection of sweet treats. The Original is the perfect backdrop for bright brunches, happy hours, family dinners, special occasions and everything in between.
At The Rally Bar, where weekend meets weekday, guests will find a lively, elevated food and beverage playground with views of Coors Field. Guests will kick back and enjoy playful twists on ballpark staples, curated flavors meant to inspire discovery and a creative beverage program featuring hyper-local craft beers and spirits. A buzzing hub for every kind of Denverite within the McGregor Square development, The Rally Bar invites all to come as they are and experience authentically good energy, approachable luxury and modern simplicity in a space that embraces the lively vibes of Denver’s Ballpark neighborhood.
Located in the lobby, The Grandstand serves as both café and bar, and as a warm welcome to guests looking for a spot of refreshment: coffee first thing in the morning, game-day snacks in the afternoon and cocktails and entertainment after five.
Downtown Denver Meetings & Events
The Rally boasts 21,000 square feet of private event space, including the 17,000-square-foot outdoor plaza in the center of McGregor Square, which is available for private events through the hotel. The Rally’s in-building meetings and event space is flexible, exciting and unique, including boardrooms, ballrooms and more. From the third-floor terrace all the way up to the skybridge rooftop and pool deck, every venue lets in Colorado sunshine or sparkling evening views of the city. Creative catering options will range from a classic build-your-own hot dog stand (the hotel is next to Coors Field after all) to a five-course meal with wine pairings.
Views, Views, Views
The Rally Hotel’s unique location affords its guests some of the most sought-after views in Colorado. It begins with the rooftop skybridge rooftop and pool deck, where hotel guests can enjoy a dip in the chic plunge pool or a sip from the bar, while gazing out over uninterrupted views of the mountains to the west, a commanding bird’s-eye view of Coors Field adjacent to the hotel’s north side, or picturesque cityscape skyline to the east. These epic vistas are just as stunning from within the hotel’s rooms, which include floor-to-ceiling windows that capture the best of Colorado’s epic landscapes. From visiting guests looking for a jealousy-inducing Colorado experience, to staycationing locals who want to be reminded why their home state is so beautiful, The Rally Hotel has a view for all.
